To remove certain obstacles and promote the exercise of voting rights among people experiencing homelessness, Élections Montréal has introduced a certificate of attendance, a measure designed to facilitate proof of residence, one of the conditions for registering on the electoral list and voting. This certificate must be completed by a representative of a Montreal organization that provides services to people experiencing homelessness.
