Le Petit bureau de vote, what is it ? 

Le Petit bureau de vote (the Little Polling Station) is a fun and educational activity that allows young people to experience a simulated vote, just like adults do during elections. This hands-on experience gives them the opportunity to learn about democracy, understand the voting process, and reflect on important issues with their families.

For young people under the age of 18, but especially aimed at children aged 6 to 12.

  • At all polling stations

Le Petit bureau de vote, when is it ?

  • In October: in all Montreal libraries and at the MEM
  • October 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, and November 2

Le Petit bureau de vote, how does it work ?

1.

Go to one of the places mentioned above.

2.

Head to the Little Polling Station, specially designed for young people.

3.

Read the question.

4.

Fill out a ballot by marking your choice with an X.

5.

Place your ballot in the ballot box.

6.

Receive a sticker to mark your participation !

* The results of the Little Polling Station will be announced after the general election.

The question 

Choose one (1) great action that you find most useful for protecting the environment.

  1. Plant trees, plants, and flowers
  2. Walk or cycle instead of driving
  3. Avoid wasting water
  4. Pick up litter from the ground

Élections Montréal is committed to offering a family-friendly experience of democracy. Through this simulation, young people can learn about democracy, reflect on and discuss an important issue, and encourage their families to vote. With the Little Polling Station, everyone wins !
